Rare Sightings
the world is changing, little by little

The Stephen children have gone upstairs, getting ready for family tea, perhaps, after playing with the neighborhood dog Pepper, after Thoby, Vanessa, Adrian, and Virginia have set up a stage to rehearse a new theatrical for their parents and select guests. It's a puppet show! And Stella, the eldest, is considering a marriage to a much older man.

This original poem-play by James Brock brings in readings by Virginia Woolf, with fluid anachronistic and transatlantic shiftings; concurrently we are in the past, and we are in the here and now, we are in Hyde Park in London, and we are in a studio space on the Caloosahatchee. And yes, yes, there will be a puppet show!

The performance will take place in Malerba Studio--that alone is worth the price of admission! Audience seating will be provided, but it's also likely you'll be sitting on the floor. Mind you, this is a private residence, without restroom access. The run-time of the show will be less than 75 minutes. Parking is available aside the studio space, and accessing the studio is via an inside stairwell. We'll have signage to assist you. There will be no on-site ticket sales, and so you must purchase tickets on-line. Seating is extremely limited!
